Safe & Effective Treatment of Pregnant Patients with Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Caroline Radice, DACM will present a workshop on safe and effective treatment of pregnant patients. This one day course will discuss the primary presenting complaints of pregnant patients in the clinic. Acupuncturists have much to offer to make the experience of pregnancy both safe and comfortable. Topics will include:

• outline of normal pregnancy, from conception to labor
• recognizing and managing issues such as morning sickness, threatened miscarriage, gestational diabetes, breech presentation, and more
• various types of pain and emotional concerns
• acupuncture and herbal safety and legal concerns
• proper patient positioning
