All nominees should submit:

  1. Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. Cover letter describing intent to serve as a director
  3. Letter of recommendation from another NJAS member (waived for current board members running for re-election)
  4. Nomination Application
  5. Conflict-of-Interest-Declaration
  6. A short video* (phone camera is perfect!) introducing yourself to members, sharing why you’d like to be elect to the board. If you cannot email the video, please just let us know when you submit the rest of your application, and we will share a board member’s cell phone number so you can text your video. (*Please note that we will be sharing your video on our social media accounts, so that all the members can “meet” you before voting)

The committee will review all nominations individually based on several criteria which may include, but are not limited to the following criteria:

  • Current acupuncture license, in good standing in the state of New Jersey
  • Current member of NJAS, for at least 1 year or longer
  • Documented interest in serving the profession through CV, letter of intent, and other (e.g., past history of service)
  • No conviction of a crime or disciplinary history by any state agency (in New Jersey or any other state)
  • Ability to dedicate time to regular meetings
  • No conflict of interest or perceived conflict of interest with serving on a state professional association board
  • Preference given to those in practice at least 5 years or longer
